Proud members of the Tech Talent Charter (TTC)

by | Sep 1, 2020 | DEI

The Tech Talent Charter (TTC) is run as an industry collective, working together and joining forces, to ensure meaningful change happens.

The TCC was created because solving the diversity problem in tech requires a collective effort across companies and sectors.

Currently, just 16% of UK IT professionals are female and only one in ten females are currently taking A-Level computer studies.

14% of the UK working population is from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) background yet only 8.5% of senior leaders in the tech sector are BAME.

19% of the UK working population has a disability yet only 9% of IT specialists in the UK have a disability.

Global {M} commits to a number of pledges relating to the approach of how we do recruitment, promotion and retention of a diverse workforce.

Having worked in the technology industry for 11 years now, I have seen increased diversity across the sector. With positive messaging and leadership from governments, firms, and educational bodies this will help drive an increase of people from underprivileged, gender diverse, and diversity of thought backgrounds to have equal opportunities to join our sector.

We believe there is much more to be done and our mission is to connect and collaborate with other signatories of TCC to make this positive change happen!
