Fashion Industry – Social Network and E-Commerce – Technology

21 Buttons is a social network where you can get fashion inspiration, discover new trends, and shop the looks of your friends or favourite bloggers. The pictures that are posted on the app are tagged with so called “buttons” that link the clothing item directly with the website, which makes it super easy to buy these clothes. However, you cannot only shop clothes on the app but you can share your own outfits with the community and earn money by doing so.

Onsite project with 1 Onsite Talent Partner and 1 remote Talent Partner


Global {M} implanted a Talent Partner for 2 months with the 21 Buttons office, whose sole focus was to integrate and build relationships, whilst leading a team of 1 remote Talent Partners in South Africa, recruiting across 5 positions.

Why Global {M}

Global {M} has vast experience building international technology teams, and has worked within the Spanish markets for years and to help start-up companies to structure their teams. Having worked with 21 Buttons on a successful fee per placement model, Global {M} agreed to work in a more integrated way to ensure clear communication, and better understanding of the technical requirements. The model proved successful making many key hires.


21 Buttons is a successful mobile application based on the E commerce with social network web of the brand to buy. Global {M} wanted to ensure that we understood the entire recruitment process, listening and learning from the Head of HR, and meeting the Management as the VP, CPO, CTO within the business, to build a clear picture. Once integrated the team had the task of delivering high quality technology candidates, each having their key responsibilities, targets and working with the Lead Talent Partner to deliver to high business growth targets.


We brought a Senior Talent Partner on board, and worked there 5 days per week onsite, and within the business. The Talent Partner was an experienced recruiter, with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Once integrated the partner, built a team within Global {M} HQ that delivered across key areas: product manager team, product designer UX/UI team, UX Researcher, Senior Java Backend Engineers, Software Engineers.
