Overview<\/h3>\n

Global {M} worked with the Founders of Kubbo, Victor and Eric, to design a recruitment model for them and source their first CTO. The company raised funds and this was a crucial hire for Kubbo, at a time when eCommerce \u201clast-mile\u201d and \u201cfulfillment\u201d technology is in great demand.<\/p>\n

We onboarded a Principal Talent Partner, who had experience working closely with leadership and C-suite. A clear model for interviewing and communicating was developed that worked best for both co-founders, who had a busy schedule. The Talent Partner understood the Barcelona tech community well and put some candidates into the hiring process.<\/p>\n

Within 3 Months the Talent Partner found a CTO for Kubbo, who had hands-on technical\/engineering skills, leadership skills, and an MBA, showing he can align well with the founder\u2019s business vision\/strategy for Kubbo.<\/p>\n

Why Global {M}<\/h3>\n

Global {M} was well suited to this project as we underwood the Barcelona tech scene and talent market well from working closely with different sized startups and scaleups in Barcelona over the past few years.<\/p>\n

Challenge<\/h3>\n

Global {M} Talent Partner needed to understand the internal structure of the Kubbo engineering team and what the founders wanted the engineering team to look like in the future. The talent Partner needed to find a CTO who had great leadership skills and business acumen but also was able to be very hands-on with defining and building out the cloud architecture for Kubbo\u2019s e-commerce technology. This person also needed to show that they could scale the product fast and effectively.<\/p>\n

Approach<\/h3>\n

The Principal Talent Partner was working as the sole account manager and delivery specialist. The Talent Partner was used to communicating with Engineering leaders and communicating with them \u2013 he regularly organises and mediates on and off-line roundtable discussions within the tech communities, involving tech leaders from different industries, so he had the gravitas to work with this strategically important CTO role. We always aim to have long-term partnerships and relationships with our clients. After a successful project in 2020<\/a>, Global{M} partnered up with <\/strong>Kubbo<\/a>, a Barcelona-based startup aiming to build and manage a global network of urban ful\ufb01llment centres to empower e-commerce businesses with world-class last-mile logistic services while enabling Same-Day and Ultra-Fast deliveries to their consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n

Global{M} onboarded an \u2018onsite\u2019 Talent Partner to the IT department, who worked closely with the CTO and HR department. The roles included 2 x Backend Engineers and 2 x Frontend positions.<\/p>\n\n\n

Why Global {M}<\/h3>\n\n\n

Global{M} was well suited to the Kubbo project, understanding the needs of business, and the market in which they operate, providing quick and effective recruitment support,  and ensuring a great hiring experience. The average candidate experience score achieved was 9 out of 10 (Typeform survey).<\/p>\n\n\n

Challenge<\/h3>\n\n\n

Kubbo needed support in a rapidly changing process. The initial challenge was to hire 2 Engineers in 2 months. This was later modified to 2.5 months due to the client's needs. Our Talent Partner had a goal of hiring around 3 highly qualified Software Engineers (Frontend and Backend). The Tech stack required was Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Angular 2+.<\/p>\n\n\n

Approach<\/h3>\n\n\n

The Talent Partner had access to all recruitment tools, enabling them to manage direct applications, active search, referrals and submit candidates. Being branded as Kubbo in emails as well as on LinkedIn, allowed them to identify suitable candidates and increase the level of interest in the project from prospective candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n

Results<\/h3>\n\n\n

60 CVs sourced, 25 client interviews, 3 offers and 3 acceptances (12% interview-to-hire ratio). <\/p>\n\n\n

We are proud of these results, especially considering the highly competitive market of Java Backend Engineers with Springboot and Angular Frontend Engineers.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
